With the Extraction System B-811 Buchi provides a very
flexible solution for the extraction of e.g.: Pesticides,
PAHs from soil, PCB and PCDD from sewage sludge.
The system sets new standards in solid-liquid extraction.
The most important advantages are: Substantial user
friendliness, practical workflow, time savings, optimal
suitability and the unique possibility to work under
inert conditions.
The B-811 provides a unique variety of methods! It is
combining the four extraction techniques: Hot Extraction,
Soxhlet Standard, Soxhlet Warm and Continuous Flow. Every
method consists of the three steps Extraction, Rinsing
and Drying ? which are easy to program and fully
controlled by the system. Buchi is the only manufacturer
of an automated real Soxhlet extraction system as it is
known from the old traditional glass apparatus.
In addition to the instrument, the available applications
are a very important issue as well. Buchi provides a wide
range of experience in imaging or reproducing approved
applications. The newest application notes describe the
determination of polybrominated biphenyls and
polybrominated diphenyl ethers from electronic components
(RoHS rules draft DIN EN 62321).
The applications (3540C Soxhlet Extraction and 3541
Automated Soxhlet Extraction) comply with the EN
regulations and the EPA methods.
